I know it is a long shot but I dont suppose anyone has a spare ticket for any sessions at the athletics at all, not willing to pay over the odds but there will be a drink in for you,

PM if you have

Cheers

Get Paralympic athletic tickets. It's the only way left to pay reasonable prices.

One more suggestion and one that I'm seriously considering myself is to take a chance and find a tout. There are touts out there and they do have genuine tickets, (and no doubt some have fakes). Me and the chaps used touts several times in Germany 2006 to very good effect. Think about it, there can be very few people who are travelling to any Olympic event without a ticket. I'm hoping that demand from touts is fairly low, so I'll probably go up to Stratford next week with my eldest Daughter and just take a chance of a; finding a tout and b; not paying silly prices.

Just an idea.

Touts? Personally, I wouldn't pay those vermin 1p profit for a ticket. Nasty, horrible characters.

Besides, you're likely to end up with a fake and even genuine tickets will have someone else's name only and they're not transferrable.

But your paralympics suggestion is totally right. They're going fast though.

Cheers thought about it, may end up doing that, people who I know who have been to events said there are loads of them about but they are not as obvious as they are at football, have trouble finding them, I hate touts as much as I hate Luton, hate handing money to them, rather find a genuine person who has a spare ticket who just want it to go to someone else genuine, fingers crossed!

I appreciate your thoughts, but having dealt with touts before and having been to 3 Olympic events already, I have a bit of a heads up. The names on the tickets are so small that you need good reading glasses to read them, and in all 20+ checks we had on our tickets on Tuesday, not a single person did anything other than use a barcode scanner on them. Fakes is a concern, but I've seen and felt the real thing so if I'm caught out then so be it. It's a chance you must accept in dealing with these people.

if you have a lot of patience and whole heap of luck then try the official website. "New" tickets are being sold every day but it is nigh on impossible to get them. tried for 3 hours last night and much of today....you select the tickets required, wait for 10 minutes to find out they've been sold and then get returned to the option page when they appear to be on sale.

They might as well used the WFC TO!!

Is it at certain times they put them on or just random times?

random....just been trying to get tix to tomorrow's athletic. Been trying for 5 hours off and on and every time I look there are different priced tix "available" but haven't managed to get any yet. Will have to make do with next week's diving...

Athletics tickets available for tomorrow are there now, £20 tickets as well. Go for it.

Another suggestion is to buy an Olympic Park ticket for £10 just to get into the park. (some are available right now)
You then might be able to pick up an official bargain for a part session.

We left our Hockey early due to baby at home and our tickets were scanned for resale. I heard a gamesmaker saying that some tickets were available for £20.

I imagine some people may leave the stadium early after seeing a bit of athletics...

The website is quite misleading- after the initial search it shows ALL price bands- implying that cheap tix are available. If you then click on the event, it is usually only the A band tickets available for £150/450 left.
That is the case for tomorrow's athletics now.

We tried for some, you sit on the requesting screen for ages, then it tells you none available. Very frustrating!

Every football tournement is the same and we're always warned that if you're ID doesn't match name on the ticket then you won't get in. I've never had the name checked as it would take forever to check everyone's ID when entering the ground.

Went to Ogogo's fight today. Awesome awesome day. May have to get tickets for the Quarters too.

Off topic, but should you be around the O2 or ExCel, I recommend the London Flyer service.

True. I was at the Olympics the other night and could have been anyone. Need to prove who you are to collect though.
