I think they're all nice tbh, but that's mostly because they play football... :naughty:

Agree with the common sentiment that I'm much more supportive of Team GB F than Team GB M in the footie.

Do their boobs hurt after they get squished when chesting the ball?

Great performance by the Lady Lions to beat a tough Brazil! Nice match, though the missed PK hurt...

Superb. My youngest has been invited to see the GB QF against Canada next week, then if they make it through we are going to the semi finals next Thursday. Go girls.

Got to say, whilst the matches are exciting and the spirit of Team GB is great, as these girls will never play on a bigger stage, the standard of women's football is terrible.

You can't compare it to the men's game, it's almost a different sport. The effort and passion however is up there.

You do the ladies a disservice there. Effort and passion exists in the women's game.

Yet...we are WFC fans. Moogy, you're spoiled with English football, but it certainly wasn't WFC that did it.

From what I've seen, attack play in Women's football has got excellent, whilst defending just remains poor. I did enjoy watching the GB v Brazil game, entertaining.

Fair pont Fitzy.

BTW - I tried to PM you, but your inbox was full. Wanted to say thanks for the Dunk The Lunk books. Really good. Am now on the third IAF main book after you got me hooked on them.

Terribly addictive stuff...sorry. I almost re-read the entire series as soon as I finished. Somehow I was able to restrain myself and have been ASOIAF "free base" free for almost 8 months now. I say almost because I discovered the online forum for the books with all kinds of crackpot theories and some good analysis of what the obscure stuff means. Well, that and the HBO Show. The books are ridiculously detailed...and nothing goes to waste. Anyway, glad the PDFs worked for you. I really can't wait for the last Dunk and Egg tale.

I really want to know what happened in the Tower of Joy...

Canada is tough. They get to regularly sharpen their claws against Team USA.

GB needs to get very sharp on the attack and quickly to beat these smelly back-bacon eating Canadian women.

Go the home team!!

Women's football just looks so, so awkward and unnatural.

That's too bad... I was hoping to see GB move on. Still, I'd prefer to see the USA pound Canada into the dust rather than Britain.

The other game is France v Japan, the defending World Cup champs. Japan are very smooth, so I would expect to see the USA get another chance at beating Japan in the final. The Women's World Cup game was a tough loss for the women, so you can be sure they will want another go at Japan...

Have tickets for the final, really thought i'd get a chance to wave my GB flag...who to 'support' now,,,?

I'm supporting Japan because they beat Brazil

You know my opinion!

I am really hoping for a great match, hopefully a rematch of the last world cup final, and a USA win. Japan are really good, and proved themselves good enough to stay with the overpowering Americans, bide their time and stick with it to win. USA will come out blazing in the final against Japan.

First, they need to beat Canada, who really are a lot like team USA in style and skill.

France is up and coming, with some talented young players and if I recall correctly were beaten by Japan in the semifinals on their way to their Final win in the World Cup. They are not quite on the same level as USA and Japan, but they could pull a surprise out...you gotta play the game...
