This GBR team are awful at the back. Richards looks incredibly slow.

Richards is a centre back, I don't understand why Pearce has put him out wide.
Though, if anything, Richards isn't slow.
Stuart Pearce is an awful manager, I've no idea how he still has a job.

Richards has been absolutely rapid going forward.
Thought they played well in the first 45 minutes - Cleverley, Giggs and Ramsey were linking really well. Not so good since HT. Sturridge wanders too much to be a lone forward, thought Marv did well.
Agree about Pearce.

The appointment of Pearce really shows how serious a gig it is. Team GB is a mishmash of average players from England and Wales, with a terrible manager and no real affection from the majority of the British people. It's a cop out team. Better to have not entered one at all than this sorry bunch.

I don't think the team is that bad, it's never going to medal but it should be coping with UAE at ease. Pearce is the issue.
The three over 23 player choices were a bit ****e. Bellamy ffs?

Sordell played really well in the first half, but then got subbed at HT for Sturridge.
Hoping they finish 2nd in their group as they'll then be in the Quarters that I've got tix for

You can see Senegal beating UAE and GBR doing enough to scrape through vs Uruguay.
Strange choices for over ages players but to be fair to Bellamy he's been the pick of the bunch so far.

Bellamy has been very good so far, so at the moment looks a pretty decent choice.
Richards looked a lot better at RB than he did at CB, and it is a shame for Marv that he got subbed since I thought he was doing alright.

Spain have been knocked out!
They lost to Honduras despite having 68% possession. How can you have that much possession and still only have 1 shot on goal

Embarassing how the Welsh player aren't singing the national anthem, if they don't wanna play tell them to shove it, especially that w*nker Giggs. Noticed when Giggs scored that he ignored the English players celebrating with him in Sordell and Cleverley I think, focusing on Tompkins, Bellamy and Ramsey.

1 goal, two assists. Not bad.

I've always been a supporter of Pearce but some of his decisions have baffled me.
OK bring Sinclair on that was a good move, but Marvin (and I'm not being biased here) has been playing very well. Maybe he picked up a knock or he is being saved fro the crunch game this week.

I know but my point still stands.
If he's not gonna sing the national anthem then take the armband.off of him

Some people just don't like to sing and you can support your country and not the monarchy.
I think that a new anthem should be commissioned which bigs up the country and what we are proud of.
It was noticeable however that every single player in Roy Hodgsons England side sung.
