Just found the GB v Senegal game is on TV here tonight. Was wondering what the 70,000 fans will sing(if anything)? Any ideas?

GBR-GBR...? (to the tune of here we go)

All throughout the olympics they'll play 2 verses of God Save the Queen.

I was just typing - I think the answer is: they aren't singing - when Bellamy scored. At least that might stop them booing him.

Yes Simms I thought that too! I was waiting to see the potenially amusing reactions when they played another verse. It's actually verses 1+3 we are meant to sing according to an article I read. Verse 2 is not 'pc', something about trouncing our enemies....etc etc, not in the 'Olympic spirit' is the official line.

Definitely not a football crowd.. with lots of polite clapping etc.

I've always liked "Men of Harlech", so maybe that could be used but instead of the words just use the tune by singing: -

La la la la la ........................ to the sound of the tune?

Likewise to the tune of "The British Grenadier" La la la la la.................................?

Another one could be, "There'll Always be An England" but substitute "A Britain" for "An England"?

"You'll Never Walk alone"?

Ole Ole Ole Ole Ole.......................?

"Rule Britannia"?
