Think it'll be a 1-1 draw, Deeney'll score.
2-1 orns. Deeney and DG10.
Last chance saloon for playoffs.

Actually think we're going to sneak this, Leicester have some odd results at home and just last week drew at home to an awful Palace side. 3-1, Graham's due a goal and Deeney thoroughly deserves one, hopefully Buckley will come into the side over Princess Marv as I think his pace on their big pitch could be the catalyst for a counter attacking master-class. Think Millwall, Forest, Leeds and definitely Hull will drop points Monday with tricky looking away games, could certainly make the last couple interesting!

We clearly will not make the play-offs, but even being in with a mathematical chance during the last two or three games is a fantastic acheivement. A win tomorrow would keep this going a bit longer.

Don't remember saying we would? It's incredibly unlikely, and I personally don't believe we will, just got a feeling that if we win tomorrow night, on the last day of the season we will have some, probably very unlikely mathematical possibility of making it, which would be fantastic.

Looks like Leicester have a couple of players injured, namely Oakley, Waghorn and Bamba, so hopefully we can beat them. I recon it will be a close game but we will win 3-2 with Graham, Deeney and possibly Buckley scoring.

I think we will win with goals from either Graham, Deeney, Sordell, Weimann, Hoskins or Massey

2 games in 3 days ofr a very tiered looking side, agains a big physical side, who are unpredictable and on a poor run.
It could be 1-0, 1-2 or 7-3 its almost impossible to call

This is the first of 3 cup finals between now and the end of the season.
This is the MUST WIN of must wins!
To miss out on the playoffs now would be a disaster for this club, from which I don't think we'll ever recover.
It's a six pointer and we need to throw the kitchen sink at it.
Get behind the boys and cheer them on for the 6 points.
COME ON YOU HORNS!
I can see DG10 starting on the bench today; he looked completely knackered yesterday and picked up a knock. He hasn't had a rest in a while as well.

The players you're comparing there show why we were never likley to win today. One thats been around the premiership for years and banged goals in at the highest level, the other is one of chelsea's most highly-rated youngsters. Look at the managers as another good example of this difference between the two clubs.
Play-offs over now but hopefully we put in performances in the last 2 games, one so that we beat QPR and also would be a shame to end up finishing 14th or 15th this season when we could still be top 10.

Deeney was flagged offside so wouldn't have counted anyway.
As for Bruma taking his chance, he was 40 yards from goal when he hit it!
Maybe we could take some lessons from him and actually start shooting from distance for a change.
Of all the teams in the top half, only Leeds have conceded more goals at home and Leicester away.
Pleased with this season, but the reason we're not going to play-offs is because we are gash at the back.

Yes. It tells us that you know **** all.
None of our back 5 can take any credit this season. Our defending has been shameful overall and befitting a team relegated long ago.
If not for our overacheiving strikeforce, we'd have been relegated in February.

Everyone seems to obsessing about having a **** defence, but it's mainly to due having Doyley out of position at left back. A poor keeper and in midfield today we had Mingoia if I'm right who defensively will simply get shoved off the ball at this level.
Nothing wrong with our centre backs. New keeper and new left back please.

All we need to do is get a half decent left back in.
Had we been able to sign Andrew Taylor our season may have turned out very differently. In my opinion we would be in the playoff positions.

Just back and a really enjoyable game. We deserved to loose as Loach was awful, should have stopped the first, gave the 2nd away and then should have come out and got the one on one. The lad needs to grow some balls and it was evident after the first goal how the defence were not happy with him with Mariappa and Taylor given him a right rollicking.
Sordell came on and scored an absolute peach, possibly goal of the season and then scored what looked like a great second goal and if Graham had scored what was an absolute free header with only the keeper to beat, it would have been 3-1 and possibly a different story. Leicester did have all of the second half and were all over us, instead of getting the ball down and playing, we lost it time and time again by banging the long ball up to Deeney (who ran his socks off all day). Malky should have introduced Buckley, to try and take the game at them as their defence is as shoddy as ours but for some reason he was left on the bench until the end.
We could have got something from the game but it's the story of our season. Oh well 2 nothing games against the 99% champions and a relegated side.
By the way, good job by the Yellow Order today, great effort (might want to reconsider the 'Gers 'Bouncy, bouncy' song though, not a great example)

We played very well frst half and deserved to be in front but knew Leicester would come out strong and TBH they could have scored 5/6 but we had chances ourselves
I know we all say it but Loach really was at fault today for 2 if not 3 of the goals and the Chelsea lad scored a wonder strike which he'll probably never better in his career.
Good to see Sordell score 2 excellent goals but we looekd dead on our feet again against a side who certainly kept the ball well at times.
Disappointing result but you cannot give proven Premiership strikers chances whilst for once Danny missed a couple.

Game like this **** me right off, the amount of times we chuck away winning positions!
Good to see Sordell score
Was discussing with a couple of friends and came up with the theory if games finished in the 80th or 85th minute we'd be 3rd/4th?
games like Coventry, Doncaster and Portsmouth early on and recently games like Leeds

25-04-2011, 07:18 PM
We do need a new left back and keeper but IMO half the problem is the midfielders and forwards not keeping the ball, theres only so much the keeper and defence can take when they clear it and the ball comes right back at them relentlessly
Sometimes when we have the lead in a game it turns into attack vs defence, what happened to the way we would soak it up and then strike back on the counter? Buckley was the one who made that system work but unfortunately he decided he didnt want to turn up for the second half of the season

"what were watford doing at the back?" sums up that game.
why can't we f#%king close down players? could have prevented two goals if someone closed down!!

25-04-2011, 09:16 PM
Two great goals by Marv, Loach should have done better with the first and ironically shouldnt have come out to try and claim the second, 3rd was unstoppable and the 4th was more of a general defensive **** up than any individual's fault, also there no excuse for not closing Bruma down for his second, as if it wasnt bad enough allowing him to hit the first one they then didnt learn when he went to do it again, very poor

Still think it looks like Loach had the ball in both hands before either Yakubu ran into him or he pushed Mariappa into him. Guarantee if that was us the ref would have given a free kick. He was so inconsistent yesterday it was unreal :\

Nope, he chose to come for the ball, caught it and then realised his momentum was taking him outside of the area, panicked and dropped it.
He probably shouldnt have come for the ball but once hed decided to he has to just be safe and punch it out for a throwin
