Haven't seen any comment from him about BR leaving or of the appointment of MM as manager.
I thought this would have been a big enough issue for him to be talking to the Chairpeople about, giving some views and thoughts, seeing as they are keeping EJ up to date with all the events at teh vic and have formed a relationship with him.
Has anyone any links to anything EJ may have commneted about?

I'm sure Elton is fully aware of developments but he is not on the board nor part of the management structure. Thus, he will not get involved in that way. He probably does have views and opinions but it is up to the board and Malky to manage the club.

He was quick enough to voice his opinion and renounce his honorourary life presidency a few months ago. Maybe he's decided it's better to say nothing and have people think you're a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The story thus far -
GS resigns, MA goes soon after, interim Chairperson states we will be a selling club in January.
January comes along not too bad on sales important players stay, Jimbob announces he and Vin's Company has lent wfc £1.82 million ( small print - £70k interest, repayable by July 09 in 4 instalments, secured by parachute payment)
Interim Chairperson resigns, soon after Jimbob appointed and Vin appointed as the Vice of the club ( god help the Secretary)
Jimbob announces how EJ is back on board, how happy EJ is and the chairpeople are flying over to Vegas to update EJ on wfc affairs.
EJ - not a peep since Jimbob and Vin came home to Blighty announcing EJ is in the loop and updated with how the position is at wfc and that he is happy with Jimbob running the show, but won't be investing in the club, Jimbob states "the club must run on its own and be viable"-
Jimbob, Bruv and BR go to Italy - meet up with BR's friends ( Bruvs couldn't reciprocate as they got no friends apart from King James, who is only let out the nuthouse on a February 29)
Br ucks off
Jimbob and Julie announce how disappointed they are.
Sounds like EJ hasn't heard the news or just doesn't care or is peed of with Jimbob and Vin for letting BR go. Has EJ actually commented on the Bruvs Big trip to the desert ?
New manager panel appointed - headed by hmmmmm- the one and only Jimbob, Vin and sundry unimportant director and THE KING GT.
After poncing around over a decision that never needed pondering Malky M was appointed Manager and the first action taken by the head of catering was to procure a surplus amount of pies for the season ahead.
GT - Says too many directors - what does that mean GT? and the directors are likely to go before MM.
Big announcement in Wobbly observer - Lord Ashcrafty is chatting to the bruvs and we have been told by Jimbob " He (Ashcrafty) is happy we are running the club", but nothing else, but no idea of how to take the club forward.
Jimbob announces how he has ploughed money into the club - well you are a farmer.
Jimbob, Jimbob RA RA RA!

Perhaps because he is not in the least bit surprised at any of these developments...

Interesting thought there Moosey - which implies, the bruvs little meeting was to inform EJ of a managerial change - which is totalyopposite Big Bruv saying "they knew nothing about BR leaving". That would make them errrr - politely put - not telling the truth.

As I said Elton is not part of the day to day management of the club. As Life President he does have a great interest in how things are going and he is, as we know, in regular contact.
The trip by the Russo's to Vegas was obviously part of the process of keeping him informed of the issues, problems and plans and there is only so much you can do on the telephone. It was probably the first time since the Russo's took charge of the club that they had a proper meeting to discuss everything. After all, Elton is a busy man!

Why can't things be discussed on the phone. EJ used to speak to AB for long converstations evry couple of months or so.
Thye went to EJ for money and got NONE - maybe I'll help out at some stage, but no cash injection - thats why they went!
And what did they discuss with Josie, whilst in Italy?
Now they are talking to Ashcrafty - the only other interested party who has a huge stake which they can turn to - FOR dosh and dosh only. They donot know what to do - how to raise the funds and jumped in to teh chair on an anger and ego trip.
It clearly shows they have no idea of a direction as they have to keep asking other people.
Winkers! thank uck GT is spying on em.:sign15:

I'm very sceptical of the idea that poor wikkle Watford lost their manager and couldn't do nuffin about it when big horrible Weading came calling.
Presumably the fear (that made the board do a deal) would be that Brendan would resign, but we might then have won a case on the basis of an illegal approach.
Would BR have resigned if we had dug our heels in? Probably, but I'm not sure we made it that hard and you don't make a fortune in veg without being able to sniff an opportunity.
Suited everyone, Elton hardly needed the 'heads up'.
