With BR out what are your views on players who were unpopular with BR but who could be a second chance under new management.

To me the most obvious one is Willo1. PNE really want him but if our new manager prefers one holding and one centermid, a partnership of Willo and Jenko could be good.

Another one who I feel could have a new future here (for the umpteenth time) is Hoskins. When Smudger is sold, Hoskins could slip into the hole behind Priskin (or whoever).

Also, perhaps Jon Harley could see more action on the left if we sell MacAnuff. And then there's O'Toole who I feel will only do as a super sub.

There are others of course - players who I don't believe will get more chances. Bangura, Sadler, Eustace (did he go to Derby or what?), Ellington (will he stay at Derby or what?).

It depends what ou new manager thinks I guess.

I reckon Sadler might, especially if he has worked hard over the summer on his fitness and actually devloped some pace again. Harley is not going to be more than a squad player as he lacks pace. If and when McAnuff does go, I would expect a signing there or even Young given a chance.

The rest are dead wood as far as I am concerned. With the exception of Hoskins, none are worth anything on the transfer marks and are a drain on our resources.

Edit - forgot about Williamson! Should definately keep him unless offered silly mone like a million quid by PNE!

Well Lee Williamson and Jon Harley performed well under Malky so if is the manager then they should be good enough but under Rodgers they were not.

Also Robinson could get a chance if Malky is in charge as he is was in the squad for almost every game under him and was on the bench whilst we had Smith,Priskin,Rasiak and Hoskins all available, Robinson still managed to get into the squad.

Sadler, Eustace, Searle, Bangura, Hoskins and O'Toole should all go though IMO.

I have asked time and time again on this one, but what ever was the point of signing Seale? The reserves never played the same day as the first team, could have just given Lee a run out when Antal (or even the now releases North) was with the youth.

I could understand why we signed him (back-up) but I felt it would have benifited Antal to be the one that plays regularly for the Reserves.

Without Rodgers here I doubt think we need Searle.

Hopefully Searle will go to Royal along with the rest of BRs cronies.

Interesting post Krisvad.
I think you are probably right with all your predictions, the one unkown of course is will our new manager favour youth & what players will he bring with him.
I am sticking my neck out here but somehow I think we may see Tommy Smith here next season, hope so!
