....whilst waiting in a massive queue to pay for petrol this morning, I grabbed the Wobby and they're basically saying Rasiak's wage demands are going to scupper any kind of hope of having him as a Watford player next season.

Is this the new short version of Robert Peels weekly W.O. report? I like it.

Even with a 15% pay cut which Rasiak offered to take we could not afford a deal it seems.

He could be pricing himself right out of the market, Southampton cannot afford him, and who is goingt to pay silly money for a 30 year old striker, who ok, came good in his last few games for us, but he has hardly set the footballing world alight has he?

I think you will find many clubs will take a punt as he is quality ... the only downside being maybe a little injury prone and not that quick (but doesn't need to be !).

Seems like he won't be joining which is a shame.

Reality check needed, there is a recession on, small clubs are going bust and a 30 year old average to good striker wants £10k per week AFTER TAX!! tell him to shut the door on the way back to Southampton!

£10,000 a week AFTER TAX

A lot of players' wage settlements are negotiated after tax.

Except Arsh Shaving's :]]

He essentially wants what, three times the average wage I would imagine?

I would think most of our squad are nearly all under £5k anyway.

He is an average striker with quality about him, who could do very well for us.

Contrary to what people are saying, nobody except Sheffield United would be stupid enough or have the funding to pay a 30 year old pretty average striker £10k/week.

Maybe we can use the Rodgers compo money to pay him for a few weeks now.

maybe we could of used the £400k lost season ticket revenue to have kept BR.

£400k of alleged lost season ticket money, which arguably never would have been received vs 60 million of money wasted on God only knows what over an 18 month splurge which would have embarassed Ivana Trump.

Hmmmmm

I will concur there was a sum wasted - but no where near the £60million you spin us with - jeeeeesus, i get so dizzy talking to you, i need a rest.

Hmmmmm

ah but one does not connect to the other - thats why the russo scum canuts are in and the homer is out. They are meant to be making the right decisions, business decisions and communicate and be truthful to the wfc fans they love and care about so much ( as long as they are wearing blue)

So the start of the scum russo tenure is:
1) - take out £70k interest
2) - have a holiday and party in Vegas
3) - have a holiday in Italy - doing a credit check on Dennis uckin Unwise
4) - tell the wfc fans how great they are and that we deserve the truth, openess and honesty, thus bribing them with an £80 reduction in ST due to the torrid promotions and cup runs of the last 5 years, bring back teh shurt lifter and bung a legend in on the board in GT to make it all look rosy at wfc under the new Hitlers.
5) - Have a board member state that the club "has had no approch from Reading for our manager"
6) - A few days later the board then state " no comment on the rumour of an approach by Reading", whilst the bookies tumble the odds to 1.17.
7) - Have had no word on the official site of any update on the current situation eg " contrary to the speculative and incorrect reports in the media, WFC have had no approach from any club regarding Brendan Rodgers"

I don't know how it was spent Paddlingpool's Yellow Water. That is the greatest mystery of them all!!!!!!

Perhaps you should ask Simpson and Stashton?

Perhaps you should ask Simpson and Stashton? - extremely weak response representing no data to back up what you said. I have read the accounts which is as good as talking to Homer and Cashton and cannot see £60million income in 18 months?

But we got the russo scum on the case, they are digging and digging and digging and keep finding new bad things in the locker ( not maddie), which they will tell us about in their open and honest manifesto promise.

From someone accusing the Russos of wasting 400k which never existed, you've a cheek demanding me to account for my figures, Poddington's Fallow Gravy (these are getting a bit tenuous now, I admit).

At any rate, my figure includes transfer income, and parachute payments which were signed away for the next two seasons with outlandish contracts agreed by your bügger chums.

and to which the wfc fan base in large numbers clapped and applauded stating these wee players of qulaity on the day they signed - not sure eally who are worse the fans, the russos or the prior regime.

Lets aggree everone is a bunch of canuts and look foward to cheap and disease free brasses at the next beer fest..
