Exactly. Even though I moan, and everyone moans about all sorts of different aspects of the club whether it be on or off the pitch, it is an amazing adventure and there is always a twist around the corner and thats what makes this 'small' club so watchable

We seem to do well in the cups for a club our size...a few Premiership teams would like our record over recent years.

I wouldn't know, I'm vehemently anti-Watford.

It's strange... I look back on the dark days of 2002-2005 with quite some fondness. Maybe its to do with the hindsight of us pulling through in the end... but anyway, give me Watford over Big 4 anyday.

Too true, i wanted a boring season to recover from the last one (or two) but nope, it's still ups and downs (more downs at present). I guess we need the bad times to enjoy the good but i wouldn't mind a period of boring stability...

I have always said i would rather support a team that yo yoed from division to division than a team that is always in the same league.

Imagine supporting someone like Middlesbro who have had about 10 consecutive medicore seaons of finishing about 14th.

Coventry are becoming the Championship equivelent.

Also Burnley never seem to be close to promotion or relegation but at least they have had some cup runs.

never boring, not judging from my experience of the few home games ive sat through this season! know what you mean though, seems to be a promotion/relegation scrap and/or cup run every season atm (and this season hard to keep track of whats happening off the pitch), suppose it beats being a regular mid-table team.

Burnley have spent the longest consecutive time in a single division (and are currently extending it) than any other team in history.

Rochdale have been in the botton division for about 30 years. Weren't portsmouth in this league for about 15 years.

From memory I think Burnley is either 24 years or 27 years.

Burnley were with us (and usually beating us) back in the Division Two days a decade or so ago.

They got promoted the season or two after us I think?

To some extent I'd be happy with us staying in this division with the odd trip to the playoffs and even rarer occassional season in the premiership along with a decent cup-run every other year or so. As long as we stayed true to the values I care about - passion for the club, youth development and the community. Succeed at that and I'll never complain. I don't need to be in the premiership to be happy.

To be honest, the prem is great, but i can you imagine if we went up and for 3 or so seasons we were just avoiding relegation and losing every week? Thats the major downside because at the end of the day we're here to see a win.

Remember the only one thing that is a constant at any Football club is its supporters, I have been supporting the team since 1969, in that time we have had many managers, many different board of directors and many many players. The only constant is you know if you Support WFC you are going to have some good times (and we have had a lot) and some not so good times.

Brendon Rodgers is the current manager, but for how long if he is successfull he will go to a bigger club, if he is a failure he will get sacked, a fact of life! however come what may the loyal supporters will always be there!

I'd like to think we could have some consistency for a change. But I think you're right.

i love being a watford fan... even though i get stick over here in australia but thats cos most aussies support Man utd/ chelsea or liverpool and they have no idea of any other teams.

i think we would have to be one of the most reported on clubs in the press over the last few years every year something seems to grab the sports headlines, be it good- promotions, cup semi finals or bad- Jimmy Davis, Gian-LUCA v####, tv money crisis etc

as much as i get pist off at us for losing or for the turmoil i dont think i'd want to sup[port a nothing team like coventry or plymouth i love Watford, i'm glad i grew up in oaklands avenue with a view of the Vic from my bedroom window!
