I've done a couple.

A four-fold of six games, stake £6.00 for a £134.17 return.

Barnsley v Watford (home) 11/10....I'll happily take that as one that lets me down.
Coventry v Plymouth (home) 6/5
Doncaster v Ipswich (away) 6/5
Blackburn v Sunderland (home) 11/10
Crewe v Leyton Orient (home) 5/4
Tranmere v Southend (home) 6/5

I've done an accy today, feeling lucky so for a £5 stake:

MAN UTD to beat Stoke
BIRMINGHAM to beat Charlton
LEICESTER to beat Swindon
PETERBOROUGH to beat Yeovil
DARLINGTON to beat Lincoln
RANGERS to beat St Mirren

£5 stake: £81.70 return.

Not the best odds in the world but I'll happily pick it up if it comes in.

Treble seems decent odds......

Yeah, Corals are offering decent odds this weekend to be fair.

I definately think Spurs at 5/4 is good value, and also Leicester to win at Swindon at 11/10. I'm a bit dubious about Peterborough away at Yeovil though...they're not too bad at home, and Boro are much better at home than away!

Fingers crossed though.

I managed to cover my loses by putting a bet on Wycombe to win after I saw Admin had hexed the bet by putting money on himself. Actually ended up 90 quid up as Wycombe were stupidly 2.25 to win:)

For some reason, I never seem to bet on Watford now either!

Given Arsenal's recent turmoil i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole this weekend!

Great start for me with Birmingham winning in Swansea last night.

I think Arsenal are the sort of side that will come out fighting after what's happened. City are dodgy at the back, and if Arsenal see enough of the ball, they'll cut straight through them.

City 1 Arsenal 3.

Villa vs Flem (Home win)
Sunderland vs Bolton (home win)
Wigan vs West Brom (away win
Stoke vs Hull (away win)

Burnley vs Derby (away win)
Palace vs QPR (draw - finally one i got right!)

I knew i had some 'dodgy one's' but the return was £691 from £1 bet...i think in future, as i haven't won anything since the Euros i might go back to more realistic bets and aim for smaller returns!...

A big accumulator, which I have no doubt won't come in, but still it's only 50p. An eleven-fold, 50p bet, returns of £148.61.

Barnet v Gillingham (away) 7/5

I did five folds today from a selection of 9:

Rangers win
Celtic win
S****horpe v Northampton draw
Burnley win
Wolves win
Sunderland win
Dagenham win
Stevenage win
Glentoran win

In the end Daggers got called off so I guess I'll get my stake back. But the crazy thing is the Scunny game. They were 4-1 after 52 mins...cue Daggers getting called off and the mighty Cobblers fighting back to 4-4! I've been told "If the game is not played in 7 days then we would settle the entire bet. But the bet will only be settled once the game is played or after the 7 days. Which ever comes first" "The entire bet will be settled and the market voided"

So my bet becomes an 8 game 5 folds. Except they've explicitly said that I'll get no stake back. It'll just carry on as if the Daggers game was never part of the bet. WTF?

Right, I've worked it out. They're redistributing my stake throughout the bet as if Daggers never played today. With only 5 correct out of 8 I get one five fold back. You don't have to be a maths genius to work out I'm going to get back less than my stake. If only one of Celtic/Rangers/Glentoran had won (and ironically, those were the 3 dead certs in my accumulator) I'd have doubled my stake. Hey ho!

no, you have worked it out wrong you thick canut (insert wink).

They will not redistribute the stake appropriately.

What you get is the postponed game added into make up the fivefold, but you get no odds on that postponed game. I.e you get the accumulated odds of the 4 games that came in in each lne.

How many games you get right 4 or 5?

If 4 you get one line as the postponed game counts in the line but no odds
if five you will get 6 lines of five, but 5 of the lines will the perm of any 4 plus the postponed game.

get the picture?

I got paid out £43 for mine today
1 Swansea v Sheff Utd*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.27) - draw
2 Plymouth v QPR*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.27) - draw
3 Ipswich v Cardiff*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.22) - 1-2
4 Rotherham v Aldershot*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.49) - postp5 Brentford v Bradford*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.31) - 2-1 last min winner for brent
6 Barnet v Gillingham*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.17) - draw
7 Stoke v Fulham*(Backing *The Draw*@*3.17 - draw

I got paid for 5 perms of 4 lines which include 4 lines with the postponed match so is calculated by the three games that drew in each line. I also got a fivefold, but only the 4 winning draws get calculated.

Had Brentford not equalised in the last minute i would have been in for about £300+ for the original £10 stake.

Right...well the dozy SkyBet woman said they were redistributing the stake and I'd have to wait 7 days for a payout but the Bear is actually spot on. No surprises there! Right...well the dozy SkyBet woman said they were redistributing the stake and I'd have to wait 7 days for a payout but the Bear is actually spot on. No surprises there! I got 5 right and the payout shows 6 winning lines. So your explanation makes sense. And it's paid out tonight. Still ended up with less than my stake though!

thats because you did shyte odds that do not accumulate significantly, so you need to do llike 9 or 10 to even get a reasonable return - but in the 9 or 10 you will always get at least one letting you down - thats football.

That is why I do draws - nearly always higher then 2/1 so the accumulated odds make for a better value bet. But like the dead certs they still have to be found and not everything is a dead cert.

Chelsea are now 6/5 to win with Corals.

Had a bit of that! Can't see WHU holding out for another 45 minutes.

Expect to see Drogba and Anelka upfront second half.

Also had a bet on England to win the 1st test at 6/4.

Its been a great test, India were 20/1+ on betfair at 4am this morning and I very nearly had a ton on it on the basis I thought England would declare on a 400 lead, or if they got bowled out earlier the runs required would beless and acheivable if India bat to their best. There would have been approx 20 overs left plus tomorrows 90 = 110 giving a run rate required of 3.63. The reasoning was that India were bowling in order for England not to score many and the pitch was still playing ok but England would bowl to get wickets making scoring more possible. Nodded off for three hours or so and uckin hell, india were down to 2.24.

The £100 would have been a free bet as I already stand a £200 win on england and the draw with a win of £150 if India do it and decided i didn't want to mess my book around having worked well to get to that position.

Opportunity missed.

Should be a very interesting days play.

Interesting stuff Paddy. I'll run with some draws in a couple of weeks time and see how it goes. Good point about the odds, never really thought of that!

Haha, yes mate, I must have cursed the England team! What a pathetic cop out that was! Fair play to Tendulkar though...surely he's got to be the best bat of all time?

I'm not sure mate, I don't think it is...but had a couple of decent wins on horses today.

Also did rather nicely on the Charlton game tonight. Had it down as a draw at 12/5. Won a few quid back on that (thank you Duck Ellington).

Got a double on Bournemouth and Chesterfield to win tomorrow night.

Hahaha, yes mate, I still work...but sadly it's very slow at the moment...but that's always the case for me in December...i'll get busy in the new year though.

Trying to decide what is, if any the value bet for the ussie v sarf africa 1st test match tonight.

Can't decide if SA are a considrably stronger team than the kiwi's thus putting up a reasonable batting display and bowling to give the draw bet a run for its money. It sems that Perth is a result pitch and with what should be no weather problems is likely the draw is out.

Hmmm will ponder.

You going to derby - hotel booked friday night. looking forward to this trip - hopefully the Russo scum won't be around meaning.

Looks like a home boycott will be on next season for me - not giving those scum canuts a penny until they put in a few miilion - ucking scummers!

Hmmm...never rule the Aussies out. I think their record at Perth is almost perfect (I may be wrong?) and it's one of the grounds they always win on. They'll also be a gunning for revenge after losing to India.

Can only see an Australia win, mate. What are the odds?

I shall be at Derby...just waiting to hear on numbers and then will get the tickets.

Should be a good one! Fancy us up there.

The odds at the moment are 2.14 for an aussie win n b/fr. I already backed the draw and SA via a lay of the aussies.

I am no longer convinced that the Aussies are actaully number 1 in the world and SA can make a game of this. The Aussies easily beat a very vary poor New Zealand team.

Will mess about for an hour or so backing and laying the aussies.

Overnighter for me in Derby.
