Once again dodgey referees decisions go against us!!!
What do we have to do?
Webber defenitely offside and 2 clear cut penalty shouts in the same play not given...
Something has to be done.

Perhaps we need to take diving lessons and join the rest of the dirty cheating teams in the prem
Or have Morinhio , furguson or venga as a manager

How many managers would have been so honest about a teams defeat , even though it was to an offside goal and a dead cert penalty not given ?

Think he had already seen it , just that he's not like the others that think they own the refs in the prem.
About time Keith Kackett came out and explained the differences between all of the descisions that have gone against us . Cause the only difference that i can see is about how much money a team has .
The last time i was this mad was in 1984 at Wembley and that t..t Andy gray was there too

He wasnt good enough but he was on his own.
Don't know how the referee didnt see the handball and i liked the way Hulse fell over when Powell pulled his arm. He must have gone to the same dance school as Kanu.

If we wore blue Addidas or Red Nike shirts I reckon we'd have been given at least one of the penalty shouts and Hulse would have been beooked for diving.

Is it that when we have nothing up front, we insist on launching it?
Nothing wrong with the stratergy, I undestand the logic, but Henderson just isnt up to it.
We should have reverted to a more measured build up, especially when Colin would expect the opposite...

To be fair the ref was wrong sided for the handball but he defenitely should have seen the push just prior to it... it was directly in front of him...
As for Hulse it looked an inoquous challenge from Powell and was 6 of one half a dozen of the other.. and i think Hulse overdramatised it somewhat.

Isn't that what the Linesman is paid for ?

The linesmen dont seem to bother with anything other than throws and 90% of the offsides.

Not good enough, it’s a shame the players didn’t show as much commitment as in other games, because then we would have won. It was only when we went 1.0 down that we showed any urgency.
I said before the game if we lost it would be more a kick in the teeth for the fans than anyone else, and that has been the case.
Aidy should have brought Priskin, not ****tu on, and losing Ashley at the start was also a massive blow what with King and Bouazza (our other most creative players/goal scorers also being out)
The season isn’t over, we can’t give up hope, and I still believe we have the manager and player mentality to keep us up.
Also, obviously I wasn’t at the game, and the pub had the sound on silent, what was the atmosphere like tonight?

aidy said it was good but watching it at home it didn't look great at all. you could hear the die-hard fans trying to start something but nobody followed. all i could hear was the sheff utd fans. it was dissapointing.

Agree that without Young, Bouazza and King we lack creativity.
I don’t only blame the officials though, we didn’t show enough urgency until we were 1.0 down. I thought Henderson did ok on his own upfront. He could have been helped if Priskin had been brought on instead of ****tu though.

It is time to stop the extreme direct football
I was watching via Sky today and it was very painful watching. At no point did we look like scoring, we looked tired and clueless.
Today is the game we have deserved to lose most, even though the goal was offside and we had a clear pen. Shef Utd outplayed us. We CAN play with the ball on the floor, and it is time for Aidy to abandon the long ball approach and play this way.
Although we were utter w*** we will still stay up if EVERYONE keeps together.
LEE
CHAMBERS ****TU DEMERIT POWELL
SMITH MAHON SPRING MCNAMEE
BOUAZZA YOUNG
This team is the way foward. We have good wingers which we should use more! Play it wide instead of over the top

Tonight was a real low point in my long career of watching the horn's. We were totally unable to unlock a poor Sheffield Utd defence and the desperation of putting Danny S up front says it all. We were second best in every department tonight and it is not going to get better. Roll on next August.

Worse performance in all of the time Aide has been at the club!
We'd lost to a team in League Two on that performance.
I know Young,King and Bouazza are very good but surely we don't miss them that much!
MacNamee was hopeless and we were toothless up front.
The worry was Sheffield United didn't play well but still could've scored 2/3 more even if their winner was a little iffy.
What were our free kicks all about...just get them in the area.
At least we'd win games in the Championship!
Sorry for any neutral that had to watch that rubbish from both sides I have to say.

Sheffield United hit the post twice and playing devils advocate here, they should have had a penalty when their player was wrongly ruled offside before Lee clattered into him.
We lacked creativity, because we didn’t have Young, Bouazza or King, our top scorers and most creative players.
Keep the faith!

Henderson was shocking i just dont see him scoring he is not good enough to score goals in the premiership also does francis actually do anythink?. i thought smith played well and chambers would of been my man of the match i thought he did really well and got stuck in and looked liked he wanted to win. it was clear to she that sheffield utd wanted the win more and we let are selfs down big time. i have not so little effort since aidy has come here we just gave up.

Lee - 6- should have pushed morgan's shot over the bar = no goal.
chambers-8 - our only decent player with demerit. tackled+ competed well.
Powell - 5- terrible. too slow lacks quality:mad:
Mackay - 5- see above ^
Demerit-7- him and chambers were the only 2 who wanted to win
Smith - 5- i am actually better than him. ineligible to lift his head?
Mahon - 6 - worked hard but to defensive.
Francis - 3- looks like he just learned to walk last week
Spring - 4 worked hard to no product. gave the ball away stupidly.
Macca = 7- impressive. actually ran at players + caused problems
Hendo - 3-- absolutly terrible. only useful in the air. terrible control of the ball

****tu - 5 - won everthing that came near him. PRISKIN?
Doyley -5- mneh.

Load of old tripe.
Worst football match i've seen fora very long time at vicarage road. You can blame it on decisions all you like but fact is when there's a goalmouth scramble like that offsides are rarely given.
Our performance merrited nothing other than defeat and they created alot more, not to mention hitting the woodwork 3 times.
Yes the ref was bad and the sending off was a joke not to mention Hendo's yellow card which was influenced by pikey Gillespie.
We deserved nothing as mentioned already and to be quite honest it was pitiful, for those who didn't make it, i envy you.
Lee -6- Didnt do much although his kicking slumped.
Chambers -7- Decent performance should warrant a start at Man City.
Mackay -5- Got run ragged by Nade and looked very shakey.
DeMerit -7- Decent performance and handled Hulse well.
Powell -6- Did ok, sending off was VERY harsh.
Smith -6- Nice run and shot early on, did ok.
Mahon -6- Good to see him actually shoot. Worked hard.
Francis -5- Seemed very annonymous.
Spring -4- Too much huffing and puffing for our "creative" midfield link man.
Macca -4- Didn't get involved, not good enough.
Hendo -5- Not prem standard i'm afraid. Defenders had him in their pockets.
Doyley -6- Didnt do much.
****tu -6- Won more than Hendo in the air. We really were desperate.
Once again our lack of investment in quality has shone through, ugly football combined with a lack of creativity makes for disgusting football matches.

worst performance since millwall at home last season.
too many passengers in the side tonight and that lack of scoring opportunities will always result in a defeat in the prem. a decent side might have embarrassed us tonight.
we didn't control any part of the pitch and below the first choice 11 + say 3 players, we are woefully weak. henderson and spring in particular seem to be struggling to compete at this level.
still, it's only one game and just our second league defeat at home this season. if we had won big, it would only have been 3 points so we've lost no more than one game tonight and a bad performance might actually be better than an(other) unlucky loss because aidy won't accept that type of performance again.

It may be that Hendo is not up to the required standard but I felt he looked a better proposition playing on to a target man (****tu) then he did when he had the sole ball winnning responsibility.

now i think aidy is the best thing that has happened to our club in years but i just think that the massivr gulf between championship and premier division is now starting to show his inexperience at the top level. he has already admitted that he has no knowledge of overseas transfer markets and the like and now everyone knows how we play and are able to easily close us down.
i am not saying that i want rid of aidy but he really needs look into new formations and maybe hiring scouts who have knowledge of overseas players.
i know i'm in australia and i havent watched the game yet but my parents have recorded it on dvd for me, i was fighting the urge to not look at the result before i got the dvd but alas i have no will power.
i am not a pessimist but it is starting to look bleak for us now as we are more than one win behind sheffield utd and we'll have to be playing catch up all season and travelling to man city isn't the best thing to do when you are having trouble scoring.
oh well fingers crossed :D

True, it happens so quckly that the lino/ref don't want to stick their neck out and make a decision when they haven't seen it properly.
Our performance merrited nothing other than defeat and they created alot more, not to mention hitting the woodwork 3 times.
We looked like we were playing for a draw all through the game.

It was all a joke, but I refuse to blame the ref even though I am desperate to!
