Chris Powell is apparently going to replace Jordan Stewart in defense and Priskin is going to be getting a starting position up front. :)

Don't hold me to it Bubble. My source has made mistakes in the past. ;)

Well to be honest I think you're right anyway and they're the two changes i'd have made! I'd probably stick with Malky for this one so he can keep Hulse in his pocket, ala, Cardiff in May!
Lee
Doyley
Mackay
Demerit
Powell
Noddy
Mahon
Spring
Young
Henderson
Priskin
subs: alec, shi2, bangura, macca and chambers
I'd fancy Macca to maybe make an impact in a game like this if it's tight, a little 20 minute cameo at the end if neccessary!
Also fancy a 2-1 win with Priskin and Henderson scoring their first prem goals!
Alec (I know it will be Coco but I can hope and pray :))

Thinking about it drop the powell / Doyley sub and add in Macca.

I doubt macca will start, he doesn't have enough first team games to play in such an important match

why do people prefer powell to stewart. powell is too old and slow to keep up with webber and kazim-richards

Tell me when you've seen Powell outpaced this season? He uses his quality and experience to get to where the wingers are gonna be, before they even know they're heading there! I prefer him to Stewart because poor old Jordan catches up with players and then proceeds to fall head over arse, making the whole exercise a bit futile!

To see Powelly at left back, but overlapping as a wing back and Jordan in Midfield tracking back when Powelly does his runs.
Both players are super fit and can run all night. You would see a much more composed Jordan on the ball with Powelly supporting him.

who would be sacrificed then to play stewart left mid?

Well I personally think Young is at his best when playing down the middle...so perhaps Powell and Stewart could team up down the left!
In the arguement with Powell and his supposed lack of pace, i don't think that's fair really! As UEA said, when have you seen Powell out paced? Plus his experience and ability to read the game mentally makes him quicker than most of our defenders!

agree with the experience and mental quickness but if it's 0v0 or even worse 0v1 tomorrow night and we go all out for it, his lack of actual pace may cost us. but thats just my opinion and i understand where you lot are coming from too
Could see a surprise with HB actually playing tomorrow.
Apparently he trained today :)

Wouldn't say Powell was too slow BUT i'd certainly say Mackay is!

I like Mackay but he wasn't convincing on Tuesday.
I know ****tu is prone to the odd error but i don't undertsand how he seems to have fallen from favour so quickly. IMO he is a key part of the team and when you looked at the starting line up without ****tu, King, Young, Hammeur and Foster it's easy to see why we were so poor.

Exactly, i'm afraid i had to question Aidy on that one! Was a strange team selection/formation he picked and it really didn't work!
I would have gone with:
Lee
Doyley
****tu
Demerit
Powell
Noddy
Mahon
Bangura
Stewart
Henderson
Priskin
I personally think Priskin will come good given a run in the side!
