It would have been the Des Lyttle 30 yard thunderbolt about 6 years ago but it just went that 5 inches past the wrong side of the post!
Have to go for the obvious Wright overhead kick or Heskey's goal for England to complete the 5-1 rought against Germany

Torn between 3...
James Chambers goal to make it 2.0 in the play-off final due to the fact everything just went in slow motion as it crept over the line.
Dennis Bailey’s winning goal against Peterborough, more for the celebrations than for the quality of goal! – my first ever evening away match (what a game to choose)!
Finally the BEST goal at Wembley ever...Step forward Mr Nick Wright

Andy Gray wembley 84 (snucgprny)
Did you suport Watford back then?
yes, my first game was against Bristol City, 1 March 1997,
You may be able to help me out with a long standing arguement I have with the boyfriend I had at the time, he said that Kevin Phillips scored a hatrick in that game, whereas I thought he scored 2 and the third was an own goal?
I was at wembley and Birmingham for the semis too

God, I'm going to show my age now - Colin Frank's goal against Stoke in the FA cup - a cannonball of a shot that beat the great Gordon Banks.

Luther Old Trafford
Is that Luther's brace in the league cup, or his late penalty in the league? I remember being absolutely pelted with coins after that went in!!

League Cup mate, the hanging header.

Was a foul, even in those days.
I have despised the bloke ever since.

Was that his effort at home to Liverpool? Would have been the best goal I've ever seen at Vic Road - FACT!
Mine would have to be Dai Thomas's (taffy thomas) goal away at sc*m in a 0-4 rout! Just for the celebration....that or Nicky Wright's goal away at Qphahahaha (lovely 25 yard half volley)

when maradona rounded about 6 english players...... then your keeper and scored.18986 world cup i think. although it was against you, and that he other goal goal will overshadow anything, that is one of the greatest goals of all time.

Two from 1989. Firstly not a Watford goal but Michael Thomas winning the league for Arse at Anfield with almost the last kick of the last game of the season. For Watford Trevor Senior scoring the only goal at Coventry in an FA cup tie.

Ros Jenkins - to make it 5-1 v Southampton league cup, took us to extra time and a wonderful 7-1 victory having lost 4-0 at the Dell where we should have lost by 10.
The goal in Kaiserslaten ( spelling) to make it 3-1 to Watford in Uefa cup, 6000 wgc fans went absolutely mental. Can anyone remeber who actually scoed itbecause Its gone from my mmeory, but the celebration was as good as any I have celebrated.
Luthers two gems at Old Trafford league cup
The goal w socred at Workington away to win 1-0 when our first 8 away games were all losses. ( th estart of our climb to the old first division)
HH v Southampton, as mentioned previously, a very sweet and I think rather stunning goal.
Alam Mayes at Chelsea on a weekday evening on his debut wen he ran from the half way line, it peed down all night, we drew 1-1
The wo play off fnal goals v bolton, superb.
Darius penalty v dirty Leeds it took us up
Spring v C Palace, the look on the faces behind palsarse goal will never be forgotten.
Gerry Armstrong Nortehrn Ireland v spain world cup 1982, NI won 1-0 I had gone fom madrid as England had a three day break before thir naxt game and I was in a really sleazy back street bar in Lisbon, the locals were glaring at me and my mate, when Gerry scored I went absolutely mental. All of a sudden drinls were being bought for us non stop. I larned that day how much the Portugeese hate Spain.
My goal for the Travelling Hornets V cardiff supporters club ove 25 years ago we won 5 -3 if I recall.

That third goal against Kaiselauten was scored by Jan Loman. He claimed it was a volley at the time but looked very suspiciously lucky... Crowd did go mental... top top night!!!

Faith, Phillips got a hatrick I'm afraid. His first was a rebound after a defender whacked it against his leg, but the other two were very much his.

Do you remember it? or are you just saying what was on the report on bsad?
I've got the offical season by season book at home, and it states in the book that it was classed as an own goal, that's why I wanted someone who could actually remember the game to say what they thought!!
If you remember it as his goal then I will graciously admit defeat after 10 years!!! Mark if you're out there I'm sorry, you were right!!;D

It was a hat trick.
Two questions?
1. Who was the last WFC player to score a hat-trick?
2. Which former WFC player played against us in the match where Kevin Phillips scored the hat trick?

The last player to wear a Watford shirt to score a hat-trick was Chopra...4-7 at Burnley!

Chopra was the last... correct
In the match where Kevin Phillips scored his hat-trick against Bristol City, Martin Kuhl was playing for them.
