FRANCIS STRIKE RULED OUT

THE FA Premier League's Dubious Goals Panel has today (Wednesday) taken away Damien Francis' opening day goal at Everton.

Watford's Goodison Park consolation, which came late in their 2-1 defeat, has instead been awarded as an own goal against Everton's Alan Stubbs.
Meanwhile, Everton's first strike in that game has been confirmed as an Andrew Johnson goal, despite the ball deflecting in off the unfortunate Lloyd Doyley.
In total the Panel reviewed seven goals from the FA Barclays Premier League between the period of August 19, to September 8, 2006.

Why bother reviewing it? It's not gonna change the result, seems like a waster of manpower to me.

That's patently obvious looking at the cost of wembley. Is it 3 or 4 times more expensive than Cardiff?

Not sure, they would have to honor what they gave you at the time, wouldn't they?

You would have thought that with the ref awarding the goal to Francis.

Wonder if this will effect morale. It just seems like everything is going against us at the moment.

if they can over rule the name on the goal sheet then it makes a farse of the whole refereeing thing... surely they should then take all of his decisions into account and award us the win based on Evertons penalty not being a penalty and the decision of no penalty to us being that it was in fact a penalty!! its total BS to me!!! (i do realise this could never happen, but theres a point to be made!)
